Joseph Cropanese

Joe has been a resident of Pequannock Township since 1970. He received his BA in Business Administration from William Paterson College in 1977 and his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson in 1981. He retired as the Director of Information System for the Animal Health Division of Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals in 2000 after 28 years. Joe and his wife Pat have 3 children, Mark, Michele and Matthew, who were educated in the Pequannock School District and 7 grandchildren, two (Ryan and Patrick Griffin) currently in Pequannock Schools.

Kenneth Hardaker
Board Member, Current Term Expires 2010

 

Ken was born in Pequannock, educated (K-12) in PTSD schools and is a 1980 PTHS graduate. Ken is a graduate of Montclair State University with a BA in Economics. He is the managing partner in CMA Merchant Services located in Pompton Plains. Ken and his wife Dara have 5 children, two who graduated PTHS, two currently in Pequannock schools and one age 4.

Alberta Alleva
Board Member,Current Term Expires 2010

 

Alberta Alleva, Vice President, PTSD Board of Education. Serving PTSD for 40 years (36 as a 3rd grade teacher at SJG) and currently volunteering several community roles, originally Alberta graduated from Pompton Lakes HS then from Willliam Patterson with a degree in Education. A lifelong learner, Alberta's graduate work at Monmouth University has focused on Language Arts. Alberta serves as Chair of the Curriculum and Instruction commitee and on the Personnel and Mangaement committee. Alberta ran for the Board to make a difference in the lives of kids. Her goal is to make the PTSD Schools the best they can be. She feels that PTSD's greatest assets are its wonderful teachers, administrtors and parent that will help make the District #1 in New Jersy.

Joseph P. Carbone
Board Member Current Term Expires 2010

 

Joe is a life-long resident of Pequannock Township and a 1992 PTHS graduate. Joe earned his Bachelor of Science degree from William Paterson University with a double major in Management and Finance. Joe and his wife Kristin have two children, ages 7 and 4.

Megan is a graduate of William Paterson University and holds a B.S. in Business Administration. Currently, she is the Vice President of Human Resources for Atlantic Detroit Diesel-Allison, headquartered in Lodi, New Jersey. Megan and her husband Dave have two daughters, Samantha, 9, and Jillian, 6. Term Expires 2009

William H. Trusheim, Ed.D

Superintendent

 

Dr. Trusheim is a twenty-two-year veteran as an administrator in the Pequannock Township Schools. Prior to becoming Superintendent, Dr. Trusheim served as Principal of Pequannock Valley School for fourteen years. During that time, Pequannock Valley School was named “New Jersey School of Character” and National Finalist for “National School of Character” in 2006. Additionally, programs at PV received several Best Practice Awards from the State of New Jersey and from the Character Education Partnership in Washington, D.C. Dr. Trusheim has also been quite involved in developing and implementing the district’s Random Drug Testing program, making PV School the first middle school in New Jersey to implement such a program. Dr. Trusheim has done numerous presentations on Random Drug Testing at the local, state, and national levels. Dr. Trusheim began his tenure in Pequannock as Director of Adult Education and Director of Fine and Performing Arts, followed by a three-year stint as PV’s Assistant Principal.

 

Dr. Trusheim began his career in public education in 1970 as Director of Bands at South River High School where he also served as Music Department Chairman. Dr. Trusheim earned his B.A. in Music Education from Rutgers College, his M.Ed. in Administration from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) and his Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degree from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education.

Rosalie Winning

Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction

 

Rosalie graduated from PTHS and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Masters of Education and a Masters of Educational Leadership. In 1992 Rosalie extended her connection with Pequannock Township School District as a High School Chemistry Teacher, then was promoted to Director of Curriculum and Instruction and currently serves as Assistant Superintendent. Rosalie facilitates the Board of Education Curriculum and Instruction Committee. She also sits on the Personnel and Management Committee and the Finance and Physical Plant Committee. Rosalie is an adjunct professor at William Paterson University in the Graduate Educational Leadership Program. Rosalie, Brian (Husband) and their daughter Brianna live in Pompton Plains. Brianna will soon join her mother as a PTHS graduate.
