Mission Statement:

 

Effectively communicate the Pequannock School Districts’ goals through all media to support education excellence.

 

Leverage the Department as a source of learning through “active” participation throughout all District schools via extracurricular activities and curriculum.

 

The Media Department is responsible for ensuring that the faculty, staff, students, parents and community-at-large are aware of current programs, schools’ status and other information within the District. Specifically, the department is responsible for:

 

· Channel 77

· Website

· Printed information, reports etc.

 

Upon request, the department can cover school events and functions, as well as board meetings and material about the district. These communication channels become an invaluable resource to engage the community in understanding and participating in District activities. Thus, these efforts improve educational efforts via a two-way dialogue.

 

Secondarily, the Media Department supports the extracurricular activities of the schools’ AV clubs. In the future, the department will contribute to media curricular initiatives for the high school.
