8th Grade Suggested Supply List

Eighth graders are experts at middle school. They do not have the same level of anxiety as they experienced in seventh grade. They can become risk-takers and not complete assignments. Eighth graders may sometimes need parental support with homework but they also need to develop independent study skills.

 

The following supplies are suggested, not required:

 

Social Studies

• 3-ring binder
• Large pack of notebook paper
• Double-pocket folder
• Pens and pencils
• One pack 3x5 note cards.

 

Math

• 2 - Graph paper notebooks
• Yellow highlighter
• Pencils with erasers
• 1 - small pencil sharpener
• 1 - red pen
• 1 – folder
• 1” – 2” inch binder

 

 

Language Arts

• Five subject notebook
• 2 Composition notebooks(marble pad)- one will be used for a Writer's Notebook
• Blue or black pens
• Red pen
• Green pen
• Pencils
• Memory Stick(flash drive or thumb drive) Students might have one already.

 

Science

• Pen
• pencil
• single subject spiral notebook
• folder with pockets
