Eighth graders are experts at middle school. They do not have the same level of anxiety as they experienced in seventh grade. They can become risk-takers and not complete assignments. Eighth graders may sometimes need parental support with homework but they also need to develop independent study skills.

 

The following supplies are suggested, not required:

 

Spanish

• Textbook cover
• Notebook
• Pocket folder
• pen and pencil
• package of 3 x 5 index cards.

 

French

• 3 ring binder (1-inch)
• Loose leaf paper
• 3x5 index cards
• pen and pencil
• dividers (3 to 5 for binder)
• book cover

 

 

Latin

• 3-ring binder (½” to 1 ½”)
• Filler paper
• Folder
• Index cards
• Black or standard blue pen
• No. 2 pencil
