PROPEL (Preparing our Pupils for Excellence in Learning)

The PROPEL Program provides academic coaching in twenty-minute mini lessons to students who are recommended by their classroom teachers Our academic coaches work on various tasks in both English and math, giving personalized instruction not possible in a class of twenty to twenty-five students. The PROPEL coaches also use “Study Island” sessions to help diagnose student needs and gaps in instruction. This program is designed to assist students of all ability levels. A statistical study of PROPEL results from 2007-08 underscored the value of the PROPEL Program for PV students. PROPEL sessions rotate so that students do not continually miss the same class.
