Fourth Grade

As the weather gets cooler, we are hard at work in Math studying geometry and graphing while participating in some fun active Math stations that help us reinforce previously taught concepts. We will also be moving into 2 and 3 digit multiplication and long division in the coming months.

In Science we are learning about ecosystems. Later in the year we will be learning about light and sound. We will also be "going cross country" in Social Studies as we study the regions of the United States in our upcoming chapters.

In Reading, we are continuing to read short stories in our anthology book while also exploring novels. We continue to build on reading skills and strategies that will make us better readers. In Writing Workshop we are writing personal narrative and fiction stories. We can't wait to read them at our next publishing party!

We continue to encourage our students to read at home for 30 minutes nightly and study their multiplication facts! Check our Scholastic class webpages for more class information!
