Third Grade

Our third graders are off to a great start this year! We will begin learning and practicing multiplication facts very soon. The students will be multiplying machines by the end of the year.

The students are well on their way to becoming expert scientists. They have been exposed to the scientific method and conducted weather experiments. In this weather unit, students investigated what weather was, where water was found, and what the water cycle was.

Students have been doing an excellent job transitioning with their Lexile groups. They have had an opportunity to read various genres of literature at their level. It is very exciting to observe the students applying the reading strategies they are learning to other content areas. We encourage you to continue to have your child read at home.

The “Holidays Around the World” unit was a trip! Students traveled to different countries and learned about the variety of traditions during this time of year.

Once again, a big thank you to all the parents for collaborating our class party and class craft! The students had so much fun making their picture frames.
