Welcome to Kindergarten and welcome to SJG!

We will be doing many fun things this year.  We are busy working as authors in Writing Workshop, learning all of our letters and letter sounds, and many new sight words.

In Kindergarten we practice predicting, retelling using the beginning, middle, and end, and learning about characters.

In Math we are exploring our new math program – Math In Focus, and in science, we study the Five Senses, weather, matter, plants, and animals.

As part of Social Studies we learn about rules and citizenship, symbols of America, the Pledge of Allegiance, major figures in American history, and Holidays and Family.
