Title I Program

The Pequannock Township School District will operate Title I programs at identified schools in the district. Title I monies will provide funding for targeted assistance programs for identified students. The enhancement strategies employed at each building will be predicated upon the type of Title I program the school supports.

Title I funds will be received as part of the No Child Left Behind Consolidated Grant for fiscal year 2010 (FY10). The Pequannock Township School District is allotted to receive $30,526. Title I funds must be used to supplement, not supplant, local services. Monies will be used to provide additional services to students identified as “at risk” using multiple criteria assessments. In accordance with NCLB recommendations, the Pequannock Township School District will provide extended learning time opportunities as a primary form of academic assistance.
