Message from the Superintendent

EDUCATING EVERY STUDENT – EVERY DAY – IN EVERY WAY!

Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year for the Pequannock Township Public Schools. We are primed for another exciting and successful year in all of our schools. As you already know, we are working on several major construction projects through the summer into the fall months. These projects represent significant upgrades at the high school, PV School, and SJ Gerace School. The field upgrade project will ultimately provide us with a first-class athletic facility which will be able to accommodate the growing need for field capacity for our schools and our township. We look forward to opening these facilities sometime during the fall of this year.

We look forward to partnering with you to support the efforts of your children. We know that communication between the home and the school is vital to student success. Contact information for each of the schools as available on the individual school web pages. You can access teacher e-mail from those pages also. Please feel free to call or e-mail to discuss your child's education.

Since communication between home and school is key, I would like to remind you of several other ways to communicate with us. The district website provides a great deal of information about our schools and well will endeavor to keep these pages updated with current infomation. We will continue to do periodic eMail Direct announcements to provide information about upcoming events. If you are not already receiving these messages, you can sign up on the website.

The Genesis Parent Portal is a tool that allows you to access information specific to your child's performance in school. A secure account and password are required to access this information. If you already have an account, you can continue to use this same account in the coming school year. There is also a link to the Genesis Parent Portal on the website.

We will continue to use the Honeywell Instant Alert System to inform you of emergency school closings and other important information. Our website also has information on how to set up and customize your Honeywell account and who to contact for assistance.

We are looking forward to another exciting year for all of our schools. Our first priority is the growth and development of every one of our students. We invite you work with us to ensure a successful school year for all of the children of Pequannock Township!
