Love of Coding

Students and families across the district recently participated in the "Love of Coding" event executed by PTHS Computer Science teacher and Robotics team advisor Barbara Froehlich and North Boulevard Media Center specialist Kimberly Meyerson. Other specialists who contributed to planning included Valerie Munro, Cheryl Sinopoli, Kimberly Luppino, and Lee Ann Brensinger.

Attendees participated in both "unplugged" and technology-based activities that exercise foundational and algorithmic skills like creating the steps to make a PB&J sandwich or the algorithm to make origami cranes, as well as computer coding tasks using Microbits, Scratch and Sphero Bolts.

Students in the PTHS Computer Science Honor Society and the Pequautobots team led each station and inspired the next generation!
