Superintendent Spotlight:  AI Committee Update

On the latest podcast, Dr. Portas spends time with members from the AI committee. They discuss how Pequannock Schools plans to use AI in the classrooms, how students need to learn the ethics around the appropriate use of AI, and what resources are available for parents to help them better understand some of the pitfalls of AI.

Parent Portal

Just a reminder that our Middle School Fall Athletics Registration will be opening TOMORROW, JUNE 4TH, in our new Parent Portal (Genesis). 

REMINDER: 

  • Athletics registration will be open for next year’s MIDDLE SCHOOL students from June 4th through June 15th.

If we have your current email address, all 5th through 11th grade Guardian One and Guardian Two accounts should have received a welcome email from our Genesis Parent Portal. If you thought you should have received that email and did not, please contact our athletics office at the contact below. For a training video on how to access our Genesis Parent Portal and how to access and complete the Athletics forms, click here for a video from our IT department. Superintendent Spotlight:  Legislator/Superintendent Budget Issues Discussion

On the latest podcast, Dr. Portas is joined by Superintendent Dr. Frank Santora (Roxbury), Superintendent Dr. Kate Walsh (Netcong), and NJ Assemblyman Brian Bergen for a collaborative conversation surrounding the challenges that New Jersey school budgets are currently facing. This podcast is part of a larger project Dr. Portas is leading with the Morris County Association with School Administrators (MCASA). The committee is looking to partner with legislators on implementing strategies to support school districts and local communities.
