Kindergarten school assignments will be determined in June and parents will be notified at that time. School assignment is based on special education needs and enrollment numbers. It is not based on location. Please see Board Policy 5120 - Assignment of Students for further information.
A child must be 5 years old on or before October 1st of the school year. See Board Policy 5112 - Entrance Age.
Kindergarten orientation will take place at your child's assigned school on a date to be determined.
School hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE.

Required supporting documents are uploaded during the open registration process. Forms to be completed will be accessed by downloading the pdf's on the document page of the online registration. You will not be able to finalize your registration until all required documents are uploaded.
When completing the online registration, continue clicking "Advance to Next Screen" until all information is entered, then click "Finalize" to send the information to the district.
If your child has a physical in the summer, please submit the most recent physical and immunizations by June 1st and send the updated physical and immunizations after the summer appointment. Submit all documents as soon as possible. If you are not able to upload the documents, please email them directly to colleen.smith@pequannock.org or drop them off at the Board of Education office located at 538 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains.

Please be aware that any initial determination of the student's eligibility to attend school in this district is subject to more thorough review and subsequent re-evaluation, and that tuition may be assessed in the event that an initially admitted student is later found ineligible. If your student is found ineligible, now or later, you will be provided the reasons for our decision and instructions on how to appeal.
