Transitional Services
The Pequannock Township School District Transition Coordinator assists special education students achieve their postsecondary goals. This includes attending college, trade schools, joining trade unions, the military, obtaining employment, and referrals to New Jersey state agencies like the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Each special education student will start to develop their post-secondary plans with their Case Manager with assistance from the Transition Coordinator in 9th grade. During each student's final year in high school, a Summary of Performance will be developed with the Transition Coordinator which outlines the students chosen transitional goals and resources to assist them.
