ESEA-Title I Grant Information

Title 1 Funding

Title 1 services provide academic support in the form of small group tutoring in ELA and Mathematics.

Planned funding for the 2024-2025 school year is available to Pequannock Valley School and Pequannock Township High School.

Title 1 funding is available on an annual basis for those children who have been identified as at-risk to help them meet state academic standards and to close achievement gaps. The amount available to Pequannock can fluctuate yearly depending on the number of students identified by low-income criteria levels in accordance with the Title 1 guidelines and regulations in Title 1 Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

For more information about Title I services, please visit the NJ DOE Title I, Part A website and/or contact your child’s principal.

Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy

In support of strengthening student academic achievement, each school district that receives Title I, Part A funds must develop jointly with, agree on with, and distribute to, parents of participating children a written parent and family engagement policy that contains information required by section 1116(a)(2) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). The Pequannock Township School District-wide policy establishes the district’s expectations for parent and family engagement, and describes how the district will implement a number of specific parent and family engagement activities.
